Leoni, a German based group, put on the table a € 15 million investment plan of cable wiring and harness producing for automotive industry during their visit to DVIZ on 11 May 2007. Leoni is a major player in its field and provides cable wiring system and harnesses to automotive producers such as BMW, Mercedes, GM and etc. Leoni is operating 2 plants in China and Vietnam is high on its list of sites for production expansion.

All in all, Dinh Vu Industrial Zone is a near –perfect fit for Leoni’s needs, taking in consideration of the adjacent port, pool of labour force and the ready land. The project is said to start with 10,000 – 20,000 m2 manufacturing floor and to recruit 3000 employees.
