In order to create favorable conditions for incoming and outgoing cargo transport to and from all enterprises in DVIZ, the Prime Minister and Ministry of Transportation have approved the New Railway Extension from Chua Ve Container Terminal to DVIZ as per the Decision No. 626/QD-TTg dated July 29, 2002 of the Government and Decision No.2436/QD-GTVT dated August 7, 2002 of the Ministry of Transportation.
 

Vietnam Railway Corporation , which is given this assignment, is carrying out the Project. The Project works consist of the extension of the railway line from the existing railway network at the Chua Ve Terminal to DVIZ and the upgrading of the existing section from the Haiphong railway station km.101+800 to the Chua Ve container terminal. The total length of the new railway extension is 9.35km.

Project Feasibility Study has been approved. It is now at detailed design stage. .
