International Port Engineering and Management NV (IPEM) is an Antwerp (Belgium) based investment venture which participates world-wide in port, industrial and marine related development projects. The company is created to analyze port and marine related investment opportunities for its shareholders and provide a wide range of expertise with regard to Engineering (financial, operational, and technical) and port management.
IPEM, through the historically built-up expertise of its shareholders, has gained a worldwide experience in the design, planning, analysis, construction, operation and management of port and marine related development projects. The knowhow from the group of shareholders and of other Belgian harbor and marine specialists has been consolidated in IPEM for the benefit of the investment interest of the investors represented by or associated with IPEM.
GIMV, a major shareholder in IPEM (holding 45%), plays a major role in controlling the management of the Flemish Government of Belgium's investment anticipation. IPEM is assured of ongoing support of the GIMV and thus automatically of the Flemish Government of Belgium itself.
